Day 24

Skipped BPE lecture today to accompany my poor friend, Andy for dental appointment. Thank god I was excused from lecture to accompany Andy as it was not easy to go there alone. We met a taxi driver whom isn't sure how to go to the place and we had to call the WUST admin office while on the cab.

Today's lecture was supposed to cover the last 2 topic of BPE but because 2 of us are not around, Mr Puah covered only one chapter so that we would not miss out everything. We waited for almost 2 hours before Andy gets his turn. It seems like alot of people are seeking the same dentist as Andy haha.

We had lunch at the muslim canteen back in WUST and went back to change to our sports attire and go over to WUST new campus. Upon reaching the new campus, we had a welcome speech and follow by nicholas and samantha giving an introduction of ourselves. We were then attached to one WUST student each and guided around the campus. My partner was rather outgoing and we were able to communicate well. I feel that this is a great opportunity to know friends in China which may helps in the future.

We had a telematch with the WUST students and proceeded to the library which was the biggest library in the whole of Hubei province. 7 storey high!!! Can you imagine a school library as big as our national library??? Haha!

We had dinner in one of the canteen which was air-conditioned and 3 storey high and proceeded back to WUST.

NE Message 2 : We must preserve racial and religious harmony

During a period of the tour, my partner asked me, are those malay or tamil friends of mine, from Singapore or other country. I was surprised as I thought she would know that there are different races in Singapore. I told her about the different races and religion in Singapore and she was quite amazed. This was the moment I somehow felt proud of ourselves as despite the different races and religion, we were able to stand and unite as one, able to look after each other while we're all away from Singapore. This shows that we value our diversity and are determined to stay a united people.
